SkyFire Energy is looking for a Commercial Project Manager to become part of our solar electric team in Calgary, AB.  This individual will be self-motivated, energetic, personable, and excited to work as part of a fast-growing company in the solar industry.

 

Primary Duties include:

Planning and implementation of Commercial solar project installations

Schedule, direct and support field teams to project completion

Organize equipment and products required for project installation

Create, schedule and project timelines for clients

Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs

Project budget management

Obtain electrical, building and development permits as required

Email and phone correspondence with customers, suppliers, field crew and office staff

Ensure quality assurance upon project completion

Receive deliveries at the office/warehouse

Inventory management of products and equipment

Willingness to travel within our service area

Experience with Sketchup an asset

 

Education and Experience requirements:

Knowledge of the construction and or solar industry

5+ years of experience in project or construction management

Experience in strategic planning or change management

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite

Excellent decision-making and leadership capabilities

Conflict resolution experience

Adaptability

Able to tolerate stress

Ability to work in a team environment with many different personalities

High level of organization

Possession of a valid Class 5 driver’s license with a good driving record

Candidates should be able to demonstrate a passion for renewable energy

 

Considered Assets:

PMP Certification

Previous experience in the solar industry as a PM

Previous experience in the electrical industry as a PM
